Palesa Monareng is a London-based Artist and Illustrator (previously known as T.S Abe whose work explores the intersection of human identity and the digital frontier. Her personal practice explores her relationship with the webs emergent phenomena - from it’s vice grip on the minds eye, to homogenised beauty ideals & an oft adversarial relationship with her online ‘id’.
Palesa’s ability to "humanize the interface" has made her a sought-after partner for The New York Times, Netflix, and Wealthsimple, where she translates complex narratives into evocative, hand-crafted visual systems. Having recently signed with Janklow & Nesbit, she is currently reflecting on a 20-year longitudinal archive of self-portraiture for her debut book, a project that serves as a foundational study of what it means to remain human in a digital world.
