Hi, I’m Palesa Monareng. Artist & Illustrator from London, UK.
My personal practice explores my relationship with the webs emergent phenomena - from it’s vice grip on my minds eye, to homogenised beauty ideals & an oft adversarial relationship with my online ‘id’.
Clients including The New York Times, Nike, Amazon & Netflix commission me to create both animated and static portraiture, but really I like to draw any and everything - all the time. If you have a project in mind please get in touch.
When not drawing you can find me snacking on Fuet, updating my Letterboxd, hiking with my vizsla, Herzog and writing my first book, having recently signed with Janklow & Nesbit, reflecting on 20 years of digital life and self-portraiture.
